1. Doctrinal test (believing the truth about Jesus who is Christ; 1Jn2:22-23)
2. Moral test (living according to Christ’s commands; 1 Jn2:3-4)
3. Love test (love for God and for those in God’s family 1 Jn4:7-8)
– Spiritual maturity is like spiritual parenthood.
– As the family of God, we should be growing in family love for one another.
– As God is 3 in 1, the saints should also be united by the grace of Jesus, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
